Adriano Zaffora was born in Palermo (Italy),
in 1982. He received his Master Degree in Biomedical Engineer
in 2006 at Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy. During his Master
Thesis he worked on computational fluid dynamic methods to optimize
dynamic cell seeding processes for human cartilage tissue engineering.
Since March 2007 he has been cooperating with LaBS staff performing
computational fluid dynamic studies. From June 2007 to November
2007 he was Research Fellow at the Chemistry, Materials and
Chemical Engineering Department “G. Natta” of Politecnico
di Milano within the project “Development of innovative
fibres and tissues” funded by European Social Fund.
At present he has got a fully-funded PhD studentship at the
Structural, Earthquake and Geotechnical Engineering Department
of Politecnico di Milano. His research main topic deals with
innovative materials for structural engineering applications.
